Mindfulness Meditation stress reduction program
Michel’s tesimony
Following on from the mindfulness meditation course. By practicing mindfulness meditation, I can intermittently achieve a clear, simple perception of the present moment, in tune with my body.
Thoughts remain at a relaxed distance, allowing them to come and go without interfering with the quality of the present moment. I’ve come to try the mindfulness course to improve my perception, which I’m delighted about. But to my surprise, something else unexpected happened, the extent of which I’m still struggling to fathom.
The tipping point came after the Saturday meditation day: there were already signs, but now everything became more obvious. It’s the energy of the band, a revelation.
I’m in contact with a doctor friend who’s analyzing the benefits of meditation in his practice and to whom I’ve sent a message describing my progress and my questions.
He replied: “Yes, it’s called emergence: we’re no longer an individual consciousness, but we become the higher consciousness of the group, which carries us along. There is no longer any separation, and we can achieve a feeling of mystical union well described in ancestral wisdoms.”
People who feel separated don’t have the same ability to cope with illness. Talking to others about our feelings has a therapeutic effect that’s hard to imagine before we experience it.
Is it this feeling of belonging to a group that allows us to benefit from this energy? Is it the energy of the OTIUM Center? One thing is certain: this will continue, and that’s a source of deep satisfaction.
Thanks to Linda for creating such an environment.
